Text is usually stored in the left brain, which has short term memory, so children
may forget what they memorize after a few days or weeks if it is not revised. With
photographic memory, text is stored in the right brain in the form of a photograph.
Since the right brain has long term memory, children can remember what they memorize
for a longer period of time, saving time, energy, and effort spent on revision. In
adults, participants have reported that photographic memory helps them remember
things more easily.
